Three captured freedom fighters of 1971 Liberation War of Bangladesh, reminisce about what brought them to the war as they prepare to face their ultimate demise, getting shot in the back and thrown out of a moving train.
synopsis
In the middle of the 1971 Liberation War of Bangladesh, three freedom fighters Dhrubo, Akku and Rezaul, get captured. They are being taken on a train amongst many others. The Pakistani army is shooting people one by one and throwing them off the moving train. Realizing their time is coming to an end, the three heroes remember what brought them to war in the first place.
Dhrubo is a medical student studying in the capital. He comes back to his village when he hears his parents were killed. He also hears a rumor that his sister Shibani might still be alive. He joins the Bangladeshi Freedom Fighters Mukti Bahini to find his sister. He ends up finding a room full of tortured and raped women. Even though his sister is not there, Dhrubo tries to set the other women free. But it just might be too late.
Akku is an orphan living with his uncle. All his life he has been treated like a servant. But he has never cared, as he is madly in love with his cousin, Moni. He never really cared about the war either, until he realizes that his uncle has joined the traitors infamously known as the Rajakar Bahini. Not only that, his uncle marries Moni, the love of Akku’s life, to another Rajakar! Akku tries to escape with Moni but to no avail. A furious Akku decides to take drastic measures before he joins the war.
Rezaul always meant to go to war. From the get-go, he knew he had to fight for his country. He trained hard through rain and mud. He hid under the water during the day and spent the nights on trees. He fights valiantly in the field before he gets caught. The Pakistani Army tortures him, but they can’t break his spirit. They then grab Rezaul and the other Mukti Bahini members along the way including Dhrubo and Akku. They want to finish them off on their journey.
But Rezaul, Dhrubo, and Akku had other plans. Against all the odds in the world, the three brave men decide to survive.
